Training
It doesn't matter if you're new to sailing or already an established sailor looking to improve your skills, at Paignton Sailing Club we have a course for you!
We offer a wide range of RYA courses led by a team of qualified instructors and can deliver:
- Youth Training Stages 1-4
- Adult Learn to Sail Level 1-3
- Racing and Performance sailing
- Powerboat Training Level 1 & 2
- Safety Boat Training.
- Day Sailing
- Spinnaker Handling
- Seamanship
- Assistant Instructor, Instructor and Senior Instructor courses as the need arises.
In addition to sailing and powerboat courses, the club can arrange First Aid, Short Wave Radio (VHF), Racing Coach, Race Officer Training and Mark Laying courses, on request, at very reasonable prices.
Paignton Sailing Club is affiliated with the Royal Yachting Association and has been accredited with Recognised Training Centre status. As such, the venue is inspected annually to confirm that Paignton Sailing Club complies with the required standards of safety and teaching.

The document covers general policy statements, such as Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, and Child Protection. Furthermore, it provides detailed information about safety afloat whether training, racing, cruising or power-boating.
